While I truly enjoy working with all sorts of people with all sorts of needs and goals, I also know that I can’t be all things to all people. (no matter how I try). :)
I promise you I’ll be honest. I’ll let you know exactly what I feel is best for you, even if it isn’t to work with me. It’s the only way I work. I hope my answers here take care of some of the most common things I’m asked.
My consultations are free and conducted here at my training studio in Belmont Heights, Long Beach. In the consultation we’ll tackle all your questions, as well as discuss any previous training history, any old or current injuries, general health and your goals. From this I’ll be able to craft a training plan, and if you desire, nutrition recommendations so that you can make the best decision on how, or if you wish to proceed. We’ll discuss recommended training frequency as well as the general intensity and path that your training will take to bring the results you want in the time-frame you need, if you have one.
I work by appointment, between the hours of
6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday thru Friday and
7 a.m. to 3 pm Saturdays.
3. WHO IS IT FOR? Ages/fitness levels
I’ve trained clients for over 35 years and have worked with clients from the ages of 8 thru 90, male and female, from people who’ve never worked out before to professional sports figures and members of all military branches.
Everything from weight loss or muscle gain to wishing to compete in a sport, amateur or professional. I’ve also trained people who’ve experienced or have cancer, MS, strokes, eating disorders as well as joint replacements, dementia, paralysis, amputations and bad knees or backs. I don’t know of anything I’ve not tackled here but I’ll also be honest with you. If there is something that I believe will be best served elsewhere, I’ll share that with you. My utmost concern is that you train effectively, safely and get results.
I do offer group/partner training as well as private training. A lot of couples and friends will frequently request this option. Some have similar goals, others very different from each other. Either can be handled here successfully. Partner/group training is also a great way to share the cost of training as well as motivate each other.
5. WHAT IS THE COST?
Training can be scheduled in half-hour or hour blocks depending on goals, availability and budget needs. Costs for training is $35 and $70 respectively. Should you choose a stand-alone nutrition program, those are $95 with monthly follow-ups at $30. The nutrition advice is included with the training program. Methods of payment are cash, check or credit/debit cards. I also set-up to accept chip cards, Apple Pay and Venmo.
